The Time Has Come

Tonight I have to pack up my iMac and I will officially be with out the internet until Tuesday.  That is when the comcast man is coming to install my new cable internet. Lets hope it goes smoothly. I am mourning the loss of my computer and my internet, but I will be getting tivo on Tuesday too.  I am so excited that I no long have to say up all night to watch adult swim, now I can tivo it and watch it at my leisure. I am not even going to mention that i will be without cable all the long weekend too.  I was without cable almost my entire life and now I can't imagine going a few days.

I will miss you, internet. I am already having withdrawals, I need to be strong.

Finally

The Striped Baby Sweater is done. It took me almost the whole weekend to sew this thing up.  Matching up these striped was not fun.  This is one heavy, thick sweater but I am happy with the outcome. The neck line turned out very cute, and even though I swear the pattern was written wrong, it turned out ok.

Here the sweater along with the hat I made too.  For one reason or another my foot decided to be in the picture too.  I wasn't awake enough this morning to reshoot the picture.  Hey at least my feet look clean. Now all I have left to do is weave in all these ends and maybe lightly block it. I am just so glad this damn sweater is finally done. In reality it didn't take me that long to finish once I worked on it, but all that time it spent sitting in the craft room alone didn't help. I have another baby shower to go to next weekend so I have started another sweater, blue of course. Everyone of my friends is having boys. Don't they know I have the cutest patterns for girls.

I took yesterday off from work, and I finally got my kitchen packed up. I still have a few things left to do, but I am feeling much better about moving this Friday. I am not sure how long I will be without the internet at my new place, partly because I haven't called yet. So I might be mia for a few days starting on Friday, but I will be back soon. I am glad to be moving instead of continuing to talk about it.

I have missed everyone, don't abandon me just yet, ok.

I Love

But I don't have anything else to say. Maybe I need a trip to 7-11 to inspire me?

I Got Mail

I have received a bunch of fun stuff in the mail lately.  It's not even my birthday. First up Irene sent me the cutest book of puppies all the way from Paris:

The pictures in this book are so sweet, here are some of my favorites:

Really I want to take all these babies home and give them snuggles. Thanks again Irene, you rock. It was so sweet of you to think of me!

I finally scanned all the postcards in that I received in the postcard swap. I have made a slidehow of all of them for your viewing pleasure. It was so fun to receive these little bits of art in the mail everyday. Thanks to my fellow postcard swapper for brightening my day.

And now on to the yarn, this batch is from Knitpicks:

Sock yarn for dyeing, I think I might try the Wilton cake dyes for this batch instead of the koolaid.

On skein of green apple Shine, I bought this just to try it out. I had to order enough stuff to get the free shipping.

And 10 Skeins of Mulled Wine, Wool of the Andes. For the Viennese Shrug for the latest issue of Interweave Knits. Look at that great color, that is so unlike me.

Here is what I ordered from Elann's:

Endless Summer Lara, 100% Cotton, for Orangina. Which I couldn't resist starting last night:

I think I might need to start calling my sweater blackina.... since it's not orange. This yarn is a pain in the butt to use. I have to pay constant attention that I am not spilting the yarn and trying to keep track of the lace pattern at the same time. But I think the results will be well worth it.

Yeah, two post in two days! I think I am on a roll.

Insert Title Here

Look I have sleeves:

This is the  striped baby sweater that is the bain of my existence and it is almost done.  I have finally started the front, my last piece.  I am hoping to finish it up this week. I have so many things I want to start, I need to finish this baby sweater. Plus the recipients baby shower is on the day I am moving, so I better hurry up and finish. And yes I am a crazy woman I am going to try and move and go to the baby shower on the same day.

I received my iPod cozy from the swap I joined on glitter:

I love the colors, plus it is so nice to receive a handmade "something" that I didn't have to make for myself.  I think it is funny that the cozy I received is almost the same color as the one I made.

Here is another iPod cozy I made from grumperina's pattern. But this time I adjusted the patter to fit a mini. I made this one for a friend, her mini was in need of some cozy love. Really again this pattern is great, try it I know you'll love it. Or ask nicely and maybe crazy little me will whip one out for you.

OK, well 2 weeks until the big move, I am sure that I will become a crazy woman before than but right now I am feeling good. The craft room is organized, does anything else matter? And my dear bloggin friends, I am sorry my comments and posts have been few, but I am gearing up for some major knitting and blogging soon. But until than maybe I should be packing my kitchen instead of swatching for new projects....
