Lemongrass Socks

When you start getting the "where are you,  are you ok" emails, you know it is time for another post. Vito and I are just enjoying our summer.... and I have that age old excuse: I have been busy with work. Maybe the warm weather has affected me, but only for the better. I am not one to complain about the heat, I rather enjoy some sunshine. Plus I am not suffering since it only tops out here around 85.

I have a bunch of FO to show, but I think I will spread them out as to have something to post about for the next few day. I finished *gasp* another pair of socks:

Lemongrass socks

Pattern: go see Yahaira, that girl has the info.

Yarn: Med Weight STR, in Lemongrass toe up 52 sts

Needles: Size 3 Addi, 32 inch

Time: Um, some...

These have been done for some time now. I am thrilled I finally found a pattern for this yarn I picked up at Stitches. Of all the color way at the Blue Moon booth, this on was my favorite. After many false starts, and Yahaira help, I finally have some lemongrass socks. They were to be my spring socks, but alas now it is summer, oh well!

I know I have promised a tutorial on how I pick up my wraps for a short row heel a million times. My excuse is I can't photograph myself knitting. Hopefully that will be resolved soon! I have a few more summer knits I want to finish up, before summer is over. I have enjoy my lazy blogging, no stress.  My little sisters and brother are coming to visit me next week, which means beach time.  One of my favorite summer activities! What is your favorite part of summer?

Have a great day all!

Those are adorable socks! Although I hate to be a buzzkill for Yahaira, cause Yahaira rocks, but that pattern is the dragon scale pattern from one of Barbara Walker's books and the Keyboard Biologist wrote a pattern with them (http://www.keyboardbiologist.net/Patterns/HereThereBeDragonSocks.htm).

How do I know this? I wanted to use this stitch pattern for a sock pattern ages ago and was DENIED as I didn't want to appear a copycat. There is nothing new in knitting anymore. Totally sucks.

Lovely, lovely socks! From the first time I laid eyes on your Lemongrass yarn, I was in love. Well, now I'm thrilled to say that I have a skein of the lightweight sitting in my sock bin! Wooot! I can only hope my socks turn out half as neat as your did. You managed to escape the annoying flashing and pooling that can happen. Just subtle stripes. Lucky! How did you like the Mediumweight?
