Under the Weather

This weekend we had some crazy weather. The snow level dropped to about 2000 feet. This little mountain range is only about 40 minutes from my house.

Why this is so crazy to me is because I live on the coast, only about a 15 minute drive from the ocean. It just never really gets super cold here. On Saturday morning we woke up to hail beating on our windows. So early Saturday evening we decided to take a little trip to the snow.

I was surprised that Vito didn't hate the snow. He was leaping through it, even though his poor belly touched the snow.  Maybe he is ready to relocate?

Thanks for all the great encouraging words about our up coming move. I plan on email each on of you back! I am just currently not feeling well. I haven't been able to do any knitting, just sleeping. But I should be back in full force soon.

Sorry to hear you're feeling under the weather, but I love the picture of Vito exploring in the snow. What a cutie pie! Our dachshund, Sabine, loved the snow -- but I would bundle her up in lots of funky dog sweaters before going outside when there was lots of it. She was also kinda fat, so that probably helped her stay warm!

BTW, when is the big move date? Are you driving with a U-Haul?

Ohh your dacshund is so adorable! Mine is a mini long-haired dapple. He likes the snow as well. I think it has something to do with jumping around in it! His favorite activity is bounding around like a kangaroo in the snowbanks (although those are very rare here).

Feel better! Knit and relax. Vito will get his fill of snow over here! One winter when I was a kid, we had to shovel pathes for our puppy, otherwise he couldn't make it through the snow in our backyard!
