I bet you've never seen one of these before

Yep, another Clapotis. I finished one for my mom last year and I had a chance to wear it over Christmas. I really decided I loved it and needed one for myself. This is one of those projects I don't really want to knit, but I want to wear. Which at Stitches I bought some Brooks Farms Harmony, a mohair wool/silk blend. Every one was was grasping up Primero, but I wanted a more dark dramatic colorway. I am very happy with this:

I don't really intend to blog much about this, I mean we all have seen them. I was bored knitting the first one, but my love of the finished object will keep me going. I decided this will become my new traveling project. Mindless knitting for when I am out and about. So of course I needed a new purse:

I picked this up at Stitches too.  It is the everyday bag from Namaste, and let me tell you it is huge. I love it though, I have always been one to carry around as much as I can. I can even carry around all my normal stuff, my knitting and the D50. All in an awesome shade of green. And now I am about to throw Clapotis in my new purse, because I am out the door.

Oooooh, I want a Namaste bag! I'd love to have a bag big enough to put my knitting and purse stuff (and maybe even my lunch) in. This three bag thing is getting on my nerves. My LYS is supposed to be getting some and the owner said she'd call me as soon as they came in. Does it have lots of pockets? How's the leather? Details! And Clapotis is on my list too. My secret pal sent me some lovely Fleece Artist that will be perfect, but I'm like you. I want to wear it, but not knit it. Oh well. Eventually.

I love the bag!!! Love it! Did you get one of the Namaste needle shells, too? I don't really use straights, but I want one anyway! Maybe for DPN's...

I'm jealous of your new purse now too! I'm trying to find something that will be a little more professional for work -- I'm a bit stuck on some of the bags in the Sundance catalog, even though they are WAY out of my budget.

you know, i thought i was the last person on the internet to knit a clapotis, but as it turned out, there are like 60+ people making one for the knitting olympics--so many that i actually started a separate blog for them! it's been a ton of fun, and i LOVE how it's coming out. i also adore this yarn you are making yours in--it's just gorgeous (but then--so was your first one!) i know you said that you aren't planning to blog much about it, but PLEASE post a pic when it's done at least! :)

that bag's fab, too. :)

oooh i got the Namaste "executive" bag in red for xmas from mom and dad and it rules. it looks very "city or metro" and i don't look like a hillbilly dragging my knitting to freelancing on site anymore.
