Hoilday Socks

I was a busy bee while I was away. I complete my socks that rock! They are pretty!

Yarn:  Sock that Rock, 2 skeins, Cobalt Bloom, Sent to me by Christine.

Pattern: My own, Toe Up, Two at a time . Short row heel and toe. Knit 3 purl 1 pattern.

Time:  Started December 21, 2005   Finished January 1, 2006 the early morning hours!

Needles:  Addi turbo #1, 40 inches.

Notes: Each sock is slightly different color wise because I decided to knit each sock with it's own skein. Since I have such big feet I didn't think I could get 2 socks out of one skein and I was right! But I love them even though they are slightly different. I have already worn them and washed and dried them, and they are even more cozy and soft now! I love this yarn, I will definitely be getting more soon, especially now that they have made the skeins larger!

Here is the up close! While I was in Charleston I went to an amazing yarn store, I would say it was the best store i had every been too. It was called Knit, and it was in downtown in a cute converted house. They even had a cute little dog on a couch! They were so nice, I just had to get some sock yarn.

The first two are Koigu and the last is Cherry Tree Hill, all of which I can't get at my local stores. I also picked up a Addi in a size 0, 40 inch of course. I wanted to buy more, but I was proud I didn't over do it! I see more socks in my future! Maybe I should change the name of my blog to All Socks All The Time....

Our vacation was great! But it is nice to be home and back to normal. Vito had a great time with his other doxie friends, he didn't even miss us while we were gone! I did have some internet withdrawals, but the break was appreciate! I have got a lot to knit this year!

Oh, pretty. You are now "hooked." Is it not better than Koigu? Enjoy and hugs to Vito.

How did your other knit items (presents) turn out? I'm curious to see a picture of the shawl you made for your mom. Glad to see you had a good time while you were gone and got so much knitting done!

Your socks are lovely - one week?! Ye gads! Did you eat? Sleep? ;)

Definitely do the Cherry Tree Hill toe-up. I have big feet (11), and unless they changed the skein length, my pair were some pretty short socks - I knit each sock from the opposite end of the skein so I could use every possible inch of yarn. But they feel great, and I have plenty more CTH in my stash, just waiting...
