Elfine Adventures

My pretty Elfine socks have been a wip for a long time, During which they have visited a few fun places.

A Lakers game.

And quite a few road trips, post office lines and even an airplane. Then there was the time I completed one whole sock only to realize I had done the lace pattern completely wrong, good times. But through it all I have really enjoyed these socks, Go visit Anna, look at this awesome pattern. Make them. You won't regreat it.

So needless to say they are finished, and I am a happy clam.

Yarn: KPPPM color: P822144, 2 Skeins, a little short for my big feet, but it worked.

Pattern: Elfine Socks from Anna.

Time: 3 months on and off. Really done in about 12 days spread out.

Needles:  Size 1 Addi, 32 inch. Magic loop method, both socks at the same time.

Mods: None really, shortened the leg to accommodate yarn supply, extra short rows on heels to make a deeper heal cup. Otherwise followed pattern.

There is something about knitting lace socks. They keep your attention watching the patterns develop, it is almost like magic. They move along quickly from the toe to the heel to the cuff. I just love the process of socks. I am proud to say I am finally a sock knitter, something I have wanted to be able to due since I started knitting. I have even cast on for another pair of sock, but I will save that for later. Right now I am enjoying wearing my pretty new socks. I think even Vito approves:

The love you have for your dog mirrors the love I have for mine. It's cool to see another doggie owner/knitter person :)

Those are so awesome! I'm printing the pattern. I'm making them for my daughter. You've convinced me to give 'em a try and I really wanted to try another toe-up pattern. Thanks Joelene!

Wonderful! I want to learn socks this year. I see you do two at once. Can you do that with any sock pattern?
