One Skein Wonder

Even though I was relaxing, I still had to do some knitting. So I decided to make my sister the One Skein Wonder. One day while we were out we ran in to the yarn store so she could pick out the color she wanted. One skein of cascade 220 and a few hours later we had this:

This pattern is awesome and oh so easy. Really it only took two sittings, many 4 hours in total. And of course now I have started on for myself because it is so wonderful. Leave it to Stephanie to created another great pattern. The only changes i made to the pattern is I used #6 instead of #5s, and i changed the edging on the arms to match the ribbing all they way around the piece. And I went with k1p1 instead of k2p2, just to keep everything consistent. Here are the detail shots:

We had a great time last week, sleeping in and eating sushi. On Friday we spent the whole day at the beach and even Vito had a great time. he spent most of the afternoon digging a huge hole in the sand, while Rachel and I lounged in the sun The water was a little cold but we managed to go in for a little while.

Back to work and all those other things I must do as a grown up!

Every One Skein Wonder I see is super cute - and yours is no exception! The black ribbon is a unique accent. The matching sleeve ribbing turned out well!
