I'm Startin Stuff

First up, Accidentally on Purpose from S&B Nation:

Making with Crystal Palace Biwa, Turquoise:

On Addi's, which looks like:

Look how exciting 10 rows of stitches are. I should be done with this some time around 2007.

I am swatching Orangina, with Cotton Fleece:

I am not sure what I will end up making this with, but I did order one skein of Shine from Knitpicks to try as well. I really like this pattern, the lace knits up so fast. I just need to figure out how to measure gauge on lace, so I don't end up with a giant sweater. I am thinking I might need to call on the help of my local yarn store for this. So Orangina is still in the swatching phase.

I am also swatching for the Viennese Shrug, from the Summer 05 issue of Interweave Knits.

Why? Because I think I might have caught the lace knitting bug:

Plus I haven't even really read the pattern to see if I can figure it out. I am just going to go for it, because I just love the fancy pattern. I even committed and ordered yarn form Knitpicks yesterday to make it, some Wool of the Andes. In this color:

I am being all around bold with this project, I have never knit lace before, I own nothing that is purple, and I am not sure if I will really wear a shrug. But I figure it is an adventure, and I am excited for it.

I also ordered some color your own merino sock yarn, so I can have a repeat performance of the purple fingernails once I get into my new apartment. So I may be up to my eyeballs in boxes, so why not order more yarn.

Thank you everyone for checking on me during my time of craziness and still continuing to visit my site while I am missing. Soon I will be done with this moving crap and have more time for knitting and entertaining you all.

You're crazy! It's quite an ambitious thing to begin that many big projects at a time, I can't wait to see them all unfold.

Yo girl, thanks for the holla' here's back at you! I keep saying the same thing...as soon as all of this is done, there will be time for knitting and fun.

You are such a prolific knitter! Incredible. I have the HARDEST time knitting this time a year. Somewhere around the first of spring it is white wine instead of red in the glass and hand sewing in a chair on the porch.

Oh, and if need be, I think that purple is lovely and I happily wear shrugs. HAR!
