Book Me

I finally decided to use the B&N gift card Daniel got me for my blog birthday, I am not sure why I was hanging on to it. I think part of it was I just couldn't decided which knitting books to order. But I finally decided, after seeing so many great scarves from Scarf Style, I decided to order the book for myself. My second choice will come as no surprise to you:

Puppy Knits. Come on the book has a dachshund on the cover, I just had to order this. And don't worry I wouldn't subject Vito to sweaters if he didn't like them. The little guy gets cold, being only 4 inches from the floor.

Now here is where I need your help. I have another larger gift certificate coming to me free from Volkswagen, because I test drove a Turbo New Beetle. Well actually I didn't even test drive the car, see I had to drop my Beetle off for service, so I kindly asked a salesman for a business car since that is all that is required for the free gift card. Yay! Anyway, tell me your favorite can't live without knitting books. You know I love socks, but I am also looking for lace and some all around good knitting books! Help a girl out, she has free money to spend.

Oh, this one is so easy for me. I absolutely love:
Knitting Pretty
Last Minute Knitted Gifts (which I know you own)
Viva Poncho
and
Weekend Knitting.
Between these and Knitty.com, my knitting pattern desires have been kept in check.

The Volkswagon gift card is from B&N? Wow... so how much do you get to spend anyway? heh

I don't have any great knitting books. :( But I have a lot on my Amazon wish list (Scarf Style being one). That's a tough challenge! I'd have a really hard time deciding! :)

ok books...Im not sure what you have but I would suggest: vogue knitting ref, loop-d-loop, handknit holidays, sensational knitted socks, vintage socks, folk shawls.

De-lurking to say that if you don't have the Ann Budd Handy Books of Patterns (sweaters and general patterns), I've found them to be very useful. And I'm totally craving the Vintage Socks book.

I'd add Knitting for Baby -- I think mainly because of the designs. All the books are so pretty with great pictures and easy instructions.

And on the dog-related sweater note, I think if I made anything for my Ween, my boyfriend would not be seen with us. Granted, she's a Black Lab, so a little higher off the ground than 4 inches!

Poor little Vito! That caused problems with not only the temperature for my old dachshund, Sabine, but also in training classes. She was always going around cleaning up missed treats and goodies on the floor!

Your little Vito is a dead ringer for my Pepper. I found your site by searching Google for dachshund sweater patterns to knit. Haven't found a pattern yet but I enjoyed your photos!
