Neckwarmer Part Two

61448360_2d68799d31.jpg

Here is a rough outline of the neck warmer I made. I based my idea off this post on craftster. I used one skein of Colinette point 5 on size 10 needles. Gauge was 10/11 st = 4 inches.  I cast on 21 stitches, k1 p1 k17 p1 k1, next row, p1 k1 p17 k1 p1, and so on for about 17 inches or so. I threw in a few buttonholes, and bound off. Arrange the buttons in pleasing manner and ta da, you have a neck warmer. My finished dimensions were 8 inches by 20 inches, and as a warning I only had one inch of yarn left over to weave in at the end. But the pattern is simple, you can adjust it any which way you may need.

Warn goodness, in the form of a removable turtleneck! To bad it isn't that cold here, I almost died trying it on.

That is a very cute neck warmer - I love the color and the buttons are fabulous.

this is fabulous! I must make one of these--it's starting to get COLD in Maine, and I'm not a fan of scarves (shame, shame for a knitter, I know!).

Cool, thanks for posting the specs! Now I think my skein of Point 5 is a future neckwarmer :-)
