beige isn't boring...
Hi All,
Yes it's me... I wonder if anyone is still out there. Either way, here is something I have been waiting to share for a while. For as long as I can remember my husband's dream was to have a clothing company... and although he has had small batches of shirts printed in the past, his dream has become a reality.
It is amazing to see just how far this has come. Why don't ya visit the site and have a look around. Let us know what you think. We just dropped off 5 more designs at the printer, so soon the store will have even more goodies. Again I am kinda in awe, looking back on how far it has come, from an idea to an actual business. Sure it has been a lot of work, but worth every bit. Beige is no longer boring.
more pics on flickr too
....Now I am found
Rather than try to explain where I have been.... I though I would just jump back in. For a while there I think I lost my "crafty" but all of a sudden it appears I have found it.

I love Halloween time at the fabric store and this year is no exception. I couldn't resist these glittery "day of the dead" skulls. So in honor of the season (a little late I might say.) I have 5 of these bags for sale. ALL GONE!

They are $30 a piece with shipping. If you are interested in getting one leave me a comment or send me a email. If they don't sell by the end of the week my plan is to put them on etsy. I would like to have a tiny shop stocked with items all the time.
Awe, well it feels good to be back. I would like to make this a place I share all sorts of little tidbits of information, crafty or otherwise. I promise another post soon with another project that I have been working on....
Spring Cleaning
I have been thinking about selling of part of my stash for a while. For me, the longer yarn sits around, the less inspiration I have to use it. So I am have a sale, feel free to look around. Lots of sock yarn (no suprise there). I have needed to clear my mind lately and I am ready to start fresh with some new projects.
I realize how silent I have been, I was staying away because I had lost my motivation to knit. Finally this weekend I picked up my knitting for the first time in at least a month. It was a welcomed break, but I realized I missed knitting and my blog. I has always been my dream to support myself with my crafting empire, but you can't be a awesome craftster, if you stop crafting!
So it was time for some spring cleaning and to get back into the rhythm of knitting. I hope you find something that inspires you!
more soon!
sweet cupcakes

Success. After my last post whining about my cupcake failures, I finally made some pretty perfect cupcakes. I was starting to wonder if I didn't have the baking gene. I tried a few different recipes, without success, but I think I found one that I love. Billy's Vanilla cupcake recipe from Marta Stewart. I frosted them with a buttercream, which had no butter in it at all. Next I want to try a swiss meringue.
What's not to love about cute little cakes, in frilly papers! I have even bought piping bags and tip, I think this has become an obsession. I can't wait to get back in the kitchen, in my new apron. Up next red velvet! Now if only I had a kitchenaid mixer....
